Does anyone have any tips for a thoughtful gift?

I no that seems broad. But i wanna get someone a very thoughtful gift. She is really into quotes, and sayings. I wanted to try to get ideas for engraving some of the quotes on the gift, or maybe even scrapbooking? I was just wondering if i could get some ideas, and where i could go to do this?

It very much depends on your quote.For example,a more serious and deep message would have to be delivered in a similar manner.Engraving the thing on the gift can be done in all sorts of manners : embroidering,sticking,painting,cutting and even chiselling or modeling.

But why not make the saying the gift itself ? You can try making a poster,if you are interested in cheaper (and faster).Also try giving her a book that is based on the idea the quote illustrates.

Of course,if you want something more eccentric,I once picked up a bunch of oyster shells from a beach and each shell had a letter on the inside part.If you want to try this,also include some sort of stand that will keep them in place and keep the message in the same form.I recommend a picture frame or a string of braided leather to make a necklace out of it.
